Well it started off....

Well it started off, believe it or not, to be a case of this owl card of Diana's! But.... I didn't have the oval nesties so I had to use a different shape and this is what I came up with!
The base is SU's Green Galore cardstock.
The next layer is SU's Whisper White cardstock cuttlebugged. The next layer is SU's DSP called Rainbow Sherbet. The next layer with the dots is another sheet from the Rainbow Sherbet collection. The frogs are from Sweet & Sassy Stamps
They are stamped on SU's watercolour paper and coloured with the aquapainters and re-inkers. Some tiny bling from the dollar store were added to the sparkle and star parts. The water colour paper was then cut out with the nesties, and then the next layer was cut with the larger size of the nestie using SU's Green Galore card stock. Squiggly lines were added around the edge of the Green Galore piece using the white gel pen. Some dollar store brads were added at the bottom of the card and the sentiment was stamped on Green Galore card stock and then punched out with the Word Window punch. The sentiment is from SU's Unfrogettable stamp set.
This was a fun card to make, and I'm relatively pleased with how it turned out.
Back to more stampin!!!
I can start posting sneak peeks for the next release of Hanna Stamps starting on Monday!!!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Tomorrow is my Mom and Dad's anniversary. They will be married 29 years tomorrow!

This is the card I designed for them for their anniversary, and with any luck...it will get to their place on time!
The base of the card is Pale Plum textured card stock. The designer paper is Blushed made by Kaiser. The circle is Cuttlebugged. The butterfly from the Wonderful Wings Stampin' Up! stamp set was stamped with Memento ink and coloured with the copic markers and then cut out and adhered to the circle with dimensionals. 3 strands of organdy ribbon were tied on the designer paper.

I have a bad habit of making a card for an event, and then it sits on my cupboard and never gets mailed! This one actually made it into the mail before the date of their anniversary, so if I'm lucky it will get there on the date if not sooner.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad - here's to at least 29 more!!

Love you,

Jacqui

I wanna learn..

I've decided that 2009 is the year that I am going to learn how to make tear critters. I have seen a bunch of cards and scrapbook pages on the web that have these little fellas on them and I think they are the cutest! So I want to learn how to make them.
If anyone has any great patterns or ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Celtic Thunder revisited!

It was brought to my attention by one of my blog readers that I neglected to put up a post after I went to see Celtic Thunder in October. Not wanting to disappoint.....here it is!!
In a previous post I told you that I had seen this Irish group called Celtic Thunder on PBS one day so called my mom to see if she was going to be getting bus trip tickets to go and see them. They were not, so I went on a mission to get tickets for myself! I went online and purchased 3 tickets. One for my mom, one for my sister Courtney, and one for me! And the show was in October - I think I bought these tickets in April or something like that. Way way far in advance I know that...I thought the day would never get here! Once I had heard the fellas on the television I ordered their CD because the music is just so awesome. I listen to it and sing along on my commute to work! I'm sure the people driving along beside me think I'm some kind of wackjob!
Anyhow the day finally came for us to head to Toronto to the Air Canada Centre to see Celtic Thunder. My mom came here and then we went together to my sisters place. She lives close to Toronto so we were going to her place for supper and then her boyfriend was going to drop us off at the Air Canada Center so we didn't have to mess with parking. We had a delicious dinner at my sisters and a yummy caramel apple martini (thanks Jay for making my tasty treat!) Then we headed off to the show. I was excited, as was my mom cause we had been waiting for this for a long time. We had already decided that we were going to get a program as a souvenir. I went up to the counter to get my program for me and my mom and I had to grab a t-shirt too!! The cool thing was the producer of the show Sharon Browne, sold me my programs and t-shirt!! I just loved her accent - I could have stood and listened to her all night, but I think the other people who were trying to buy merchandise might not be too happy about that! So we moved on to our seats. I was surprised to see "Celtic Thunder" groupies!!! Complete with their own hand made Celtic Thunder t-shirts, and green little fuzzy headbands and such. Kinda cracked me up!
I have never been to the Air Canada Center and did not realize how big it was. A portion of the centre was taken up by the stage for the show, so we were sitting in a horseshoe type shape to see the stage. I wish our tickets had of been closer, but they were okay - we were up and to the right of the stage and I wish we could have been head on, but it was great anyway. We were a little disappointed that they did not have big screens for those people who were not close to the stage, but our seats were okay enough that we could see pretty good.
I thought the drum set up was quite cool. It was like a circle of drums where the drummer sat inside and there were drums all around him and above him. Some of the fun spots in the show took place when the fellas were having a bit of a "drum off" with their instruments. The girl who played the violin in her bare feet and was wearing a sheer green dress reminded me of a fairy or sprite! She got up during one number and flitted about the stage and played her violin as she was flitting about. She was cute and she seemed like a feisty girl - with the red hair and everything!
When the music started, I must say the hair on the back of my neck was standing up as I was so very excited to be there to see them! I'm glad I got the opportunity to see them live. One thing I was disappointed about was the rule of no cameras in the show. So the pictures I am sharing I found on the web somewhere.
This video is Damian McGinty and George Donaldson singing "A Bird without Wings". This has got to be my FAVOURITE song. George pretty much just does some back up for Damian but it's a nice touch. This video must have been taken a while ago, as Damian has his braces off now and is a bit taller! I cannot believe this voice is coming out of this young guy. I love the words to this song. It makes me think of my husband every time I hear it. Some of the words are:
Like a bird without wings, that longs to be flying, Like a motherless child, left lonely and crying, Like a song without words, Like a world without music, I wouldn't know what to do, I'd be lost without you, watchin' over me.

This is another one of my fav's! George Donaldson looks like he would be a tough guy on the outside, but I bet he's like a big ole cuddly bear! I love his voice it's so pure.

And of course.....this post would not be complete without a video from Keith Harkin!! He is one good looking man! I like this song. He is just so casual when he is sitting there singing! I was impressed as well cause the night we watched them he played this song on his McPherson Guitar! I'm pretty sure the dimples....are the main reason I wanted seats a lot closer to the stage!

I must say it is quite the sight when all the fellas come out wearing their kilts!

THE FELLAS!!
Paul Byrom
Paul is a soprano

Ryan Kelly

Ryan has a great voice as well and a great stage presence. I must admit though, the woman that flits around the stage while he is singing....is a little over the top.

George Donaldson
George's voice is so pure. He is definitely the father figure in this group.
Damian McGinty

The voice that comes out of this young man just amazes me.
Keith Harkin

I'll be honest, Keith is my favourite member of the group! His voice is very unique, and he's cute to boot!

My recommendation, if you ever get the chance to go and see these guys perform....go and see them.

Poutin' just a little......

Yep....that's me....sittin' in Woodstock....in the snow....in the cold....poutin' ....wanna know why??? Cause my girls I chat with EVERY SINGLE DAY are at CHA! I'm so very happy for them that they got to go there, and very proud of them for going as well......but still poutin'!!

But the big reason I am pouting is because my sister Diana and my best friend Vicki and my dear friend Kristi are all going to meet each other today. I have been hoping that some day Diana and Vicki would meet each other. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Diana's BFF Tracy when we went cruisin' together on the 2006 Mexican Riviera Stampin' Up! cruise. Tracy is so sweet, and she and Diana are like two peas in a pod. You would think they have known each other forever. It was awesome to get to meet Tracy and finally put a face to the name that Diana always talks about! Well that is the way I feel about Vicki. We have not known each other forever, but it feels like we have known each other for a very long time. We get each other's sick sense of humor!!! Our kids get along great and we just kinda clicked when we met. So I have been wanting to get Diana and Vicki to meet sometime. So they are gonna finally do that today.....and I'm sitting here in the snow.....while they are in sunny California!!!

So even if this is the first time you have visited my blog...I think you'll agree I have reason to pout!!!! ha ha

Okay - enough on the poor me soap box!!!

I whipped up this card the other night.

I have been seeing so many cards using the Top Note die from Stampin' Up! and I have only made one card with it, so I thought I would make one.

The base is Really Rust, which I applied ink to using the Direct to Paper technique.

The next layer is Old Olive, which I also applied ink to using the Direct to Paper Technique.

The next layer is Watercolour Paper which I cut out using the Top Note Die. I stamped the car from the Thoughts of Father Stampin' Up! stamp set, using Stazon ink. I then sponged clouds using card stock and the scallop punch and Bashful Blue ink. I then sponged Old Olive ink on the bottom to look like grass. I then water coloured (as best I can) using the re-inkers and the aqua painters. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set across the top and finished it off with some ribbon across the top.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look!

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

I should have put this picture on here yesterday because Jennifer's birthday was yesterday, but I put my post up before I found this cool picture of her, so I just figured I would put it up today instead.

Isn't she beautiful? This picture was taken at my BFF's house a couple of springs ago. Jennifer was just finished taking the motorcycle for a spin! I miss my Jenn, she moved west a year and a half ago.

Another short post, but I am working on design stuff for Hanna Stamps!!! This guest designer spot is a big deal to me!

Miranda's Name Frame

I made this name frame for the daughter of a friend of mine. I like making name frames. There are so many neat embellishments to add and you can do all different kinds of names or greetings.

My friend gave me some suggestions for colours and embellishments based on her daughters likes and hobbies.

This is a really short post tonight, it's a busy television watching night!!! CSI, ER and The Beast, and I am working on items for my guest designer spot for Hanna Stamps for February!

Scott Name Frame

Today's post is gonna be a quick one. I have been asked to be the guest designer for Hanna Stamps for the month of February and my sets arrived today! I am so excited...and nervous too..so I need to get stampin'.

So I dug back to an item that I made for a friend for Christmas. I made this name frame for her son, Scott. She gave me the colours he liked and what sports and hobbies he had and this is what I came up with.

Hope you like it,

Leo the Lion gets his Mojo on

You know how when you look at a stamp or a stamp set and it just jumps off the page at you and you just have to have it? Well when I saw Leo - he leaped off the page and I just had to have him. He is made by High Hopes http://www.highhopesstamps.com/ but I purchased him from Scrappin' Great Deals http://www.scrappingreatdeals.com/home.php . How pleased was I when I submitted my order on Thursday or maybe Friday of last week and my package was in my house on Monday when I came home from work!!!! Just like Christmas! I love getting stuff from Sheila at Scrappin' Great Deals. Not only does she have awesome shipping times, she has got to be one of the nicest ladies I have ever met! She has great prices and has the children with the biggest most beautiful eyes I have ever seen!

So I opened up my package to see all the goodies I had ordered! Some Nestabilities, Leo and some more paper!! You can NEVER have too much paper - lol - and if you ask anyone who has been to my house.....I could probably wallpaper my entire house with the designer paper I have!!!!

I couldn't resist it. I had to put ink to Leo as soon as I got him out of the box! I decided I would try to combine Leo with the Mojo Monday sketch. (If you don't know what Mojo Monday is check out this blog http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/, each Monday a new sketch is posted. It's a great way to get your creative juices flowing). I started out using the Mojo Monday sketch, but tweaked it a tiny bit by putting the sentiment on the top of the orange strip and putting Leo in the bottom right corner instead of a tiny image in the centre.

I started out by stamping Leo on a piece of smooth Neenah paper and colouring him with the Copic markers ( have I told you how much I love these markers??!!). I then cut him out.

The base of the card is Stampin' Up!'s Chocolate Chip card stock. The orange polka dotted paper is the "About A Boy" series by Fancy Pants. The brown with circles and stars paper is the other side of the "About A Boy" Fancy Pants paper. The sentiment "Howdy" is from Stampin' Up!'s "A Little Somethin'" hostess set, which is available in the latest Stampin' Up! catalogue.

I'm pleased with the way Leo turned out. I hope you enjoy looking at him as well.

Locker Fairy Revisited!

One more fairy creation for Jade's locker.

I actually coloured her first and she was going to be amongst the flowers in my previous post, but she was much too big. So I decided just to leave her by herself and cut her out.

Each of the locker creations have been placed on a magnetic sheet so they can easily be put up on the metal locker door.

This one is a quick one....being Mom Taxi tonight.

Fairy Tales!

I have purchased a few Inkadinkado sets in the last few months. Some of the images they have are awesome! I purchased one of their fairy sets and had not used it until my daughter wanted some locker creations (see previous posts). I used the flower from Stampin' Up!'s Bloomin' Beautiful set as well as a flower from Stampin' Up!'s Natures's Beauty set.
I coloured them with the Copic markers and then I stamped the fairy over top to make it look like she was coming out of the bunch of flowers....well that was the look I was going for anyway!
The butterfly is also from the Inkadinkado set. I stamped it on Vellum and then coloured it on the back side, cut them out and stuck them on the page - but only their bodies, so their wings would be 3-D.

Lazy Saturday

Today is just a lazy Saturday. I don't' have much planned. I went and got my hair cut this morning. A little bit shorter and a little bit more gray covered up! Now I am just hanging out with the hubby stamping while he is watching a movie. I am kinda sorta watching the movie too. I made sure I put one on that I won't be all that upset if I don't see it.

Today's post is another locker item.

I stamped the Read My Tee Hanna and coloured her using the Copic markers. Then I mounted it on a piece of Pink Passion and Basic Black. The whole item was them adhered to a magnetic sheet so it can be easily hung in the locker!

Back to stampin' and movie watchin'

Have a great Saturday.

Locker Creations

My daughter Jade asked me to make some creations for her locker. She just started Grade 9 this year and apparently everyone else has all kinds of things hanging in their lockers and she does not have anything yet! Man, I remember when I was in high school my locker was plastered with pictures of all kinds of stuff; pets, boyfriends, jokes, (wanna be)boyfriends - those would be the Sylvester Stallone, Sam Elliott pictures, funny pictures, and anything else I could slap on the door....oh the high school memories!

I decided to use the Pirate Hanna set and make a little scene. I sponged some colours to make it look like the sky, and then I stamped the little ship to make it look like it was in the distance. Then I stamped the Pirate Hanna and coloured her with the Copics. I stamped the treasure trunks and the money and coloured with the Copics and cut them out and placed them around the trunks. It's a pretty simple scene but Jade liked it.
I'll post another one tomorrow!!!

Congratulations Dan and Sarah!

A friend of mine from work just got back from Cuba. He and his fiance Sarah went there to get married! While they were away, I created this card and went around work and got people to sign the card and make a monetary donation so we could present them with a gift when they returned. He brought the pictures from the wedding to work with him the day he returned. I must say....in this deep freeze right now.....Cuba is looking might inviting!

Dan is a great guy and I wish them all the best in their new life together.

Pink Cat Studio Contest Submission

Pink Cat Studio held a contest earlier this week. They had a great Lily the Fairy image that you could print to make a card! Then you emailed the card to enter the contest.

This was so much fun. She is a cute little fairy, and was so much fun to colour. I ended up making two cards to submit!
Believe it or not both these cards are made with the same double sided paper! The purple card is made with the one side of the paper and the brown one is made from the other!
I can't wait to see who wins this contest. There were some fabulous entries!

Thanks to Everyone!

As most of you know from reading previous posts, we had a LARGE scare with our son Joel in November. He got very very ill and ended up being hospitalized for 11 days. You think once they start walking and talking and doing their own thing but in an instant all that can change.
Luckily, things are going well now. We still have another follow-up appointment in March and with any luck he will get a clean bill of health from them. While he was in hospital he kept a little notebook by his bedside so he could communicate. He was unable to talk while he was in hospital. As well as using this little book to communicate, he kept himself a little list of people who he wanted to send Thank You cards to when we got home.
When we got checking out the list, there were 30 people he wanted to thank. So that was my mission, should I choose to accept it!! He had already decided that I should use the Pajama Riley to make the cards. (like I needed an excuse!!) He also wanted the pajamas to be orange cause that is his favourite colour. He likes an orange, teal and blue combo...sounds odd - but we put it together once and believe it or not it looked pretty cool!

Anyhow....I made 30 of these little gems!

Joel wrote a little something in each and every card, as did I. Words cannot express how much we appreciated all the help and support we got while Joel was in the hospital. Everything from bringing me Tim Horton's, to bringing me a laptop to use, to sending balloons and toys to Joel, to coming for visits, it all meant so very much and I still get all teary and emotional when I think about it - so I will stop - don't want to run the ink....oh yeah...I'm typing....no ink....whatever!!!

Well here it is....the final installment of my 2009 Riley Calendar....whatever will I show you tomorrow? Not to worry - I have been stamping a few things so I will have something to share with you!.

November 2009 Riley Calendar

Today's post is the second last one in my 2009 Riley calendar posts. I know most of you are probably saying "thank God"!!! This is another one of the Rileys within the calendar that Joel coloured. He is getting better with his colouring all the time. Those Copic markers are to die for!

The base is Always Artichoke by Stampin' Up! and the designer paper is also by Stampin' Up!. Riley is stamped and coloured with the Copic markers and then cut out and adhered to the page.

Well I managed to survive Joel's sleepover with his friends. We planned on going to the show, but there was nothing playing that they wanted to see, so they decided to watch a movie at home instead. They were still awake at 3:15 AM when I finally said I'm going to bed and believe it or not.....his two friends were up before me this morning!!! They must be used to getting up early for all those hockey and karate practices and tournaments!

I think they had a fun time though and that is the main thing, as it's back to school tomorrow for another fun-filled week.

Jade is stressing a bit right now....exams are coming up.....and she is in Grade 9 so these are her first exams and they are always scary the first time you do them until you know what to expect.

Well thanks for stopping in to see what I had to go on and on about today!!!

Mojo Monday Contest & October Riley

While I was surfing one evening, I came across this site http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/.

So I am now following the blog. I like sketch ideas and challenges, cause well...let's face it...my old brain is not as young as it used to be and it's harder to come up with my own things. So any help I can get from people willing to give it to me..I'm taking it.....that goes for money too!!! ha ha
The current sketch, the first Mojo of 2009 is a contest as well!! So I thought what the heck, I'll enter. So this is the card I came up with using the sketch they provided. I have had this great Imaginisce Paper for a while now, and my good friend Kim gave me the penguins stamps as a gift, and I still had not put ink to them. So I figured now was as good a time as any! The base card is Not Quite Navy Cardstock by Stampin' Up! The designer paper is by Imaginisce as well as the penguin stamps and the rub-ons. The scalloped punch is a Martha Stewart item - I love this punch! Anyhow, this is the card I am submitting for the challenge....who knows... it might just tickle her fancy and she might just pick mine!!! (although I have looked at a bunch of the other entries - WOWZERS!!)
Can you withstand the excitement if I post 2 items today!! Here is the October installment of my 2009 Riley Calendar. This one was fun cause there are 2 Rileys. You just can't have October without a witch....and well with my Twilight obsession...you can't have October (or any month for that matter) without a vampire!!!!! So here it is!
I hope you all have a great Saturday. I have 3 of my son's friends coming over today for a sleepover to celebrate Joel's birthday which was on Thursday.
Not sure what they have planned....they like to make their own decisions on what they are gonna do...no more Pin the Tail on the donkey, that kind of thing....so we'll see... they are all good kids so I am not worried.....just not sure how much sleep we're all gonna get!!!!

September 2009 Riley Calendar

Today's post is the September page from my 2009 Riley calendar. I love this little bookworm Riley. He looks so keen and ready for school. I used designer paper from Stampin' Up! for the background and used the jumbo wheel for the letters.
Riley was stamped and coloured with the copics.
I was so excited today the first thing I did was put in my order to Hanna Stamps for all the new sets!!! I just cannot get enough!!!! I joined the release party for a little while last night but man oh man there were a ton of people on last night and the chats were flying. I was getting dizzy trying to keep up with all the threads. There were some great samples though!! If you have never joined in a release party, you really should experience it!! There are challenges and give aways and lots of laughter!!! You might just find yourself a cyber friend too!

Happy Birthday Joel!!

Today is my baby boy's 13th birthday! It's a big deal to become a teenager, but after the hospital scare we had with Joel at the end of November, beginning of December, we are very happy he has made it to 13. I'm not sure I am mentally prepared to live in the same house with 2 teenagers, but time will tell.
Here is Joel with his birthday card. He loves penguins, so I had to put one on his card. I'm not certain I like the way the card turned out, but he seemed to like it so that is all that matters.
The basic is Kiwi Kiss and the designer paper is from a 6 x 6 Basic Gray stack. The half circle was cuttlebugged with the Happy Birthday embossing folder. The penguin was stamped and then coloured with the Copic markers and then cut out and placed on another Kiwi Kiss circle. Slits were punched in the circle to feed the twill ribbon through. Relatively easy card to make, I just think it needs something else. But my best friend Vicki has always told me.....sometimes, less is more!!! So I try to remember that when I making my cards.
Here is another shot of just the card.

Today is also the August 2009 installment of my Riley calendar. It's actually great timing, since this post is about Joel, cause he coloured this Riley too! I love the way he made the tent look like camouflage!!
Thanks for taking the time to look today!
I'm gonna try and stay up late enough to hang out on the Hanna Stamps forum for a bit since tonight is a release night!! Nothin' better than new stamps!!

July 2009 Riley Calendar

Today's post is my July page from my Riley calendar. I like this little Riley roasting up his little marshmallows! I like to add liquid applique on these to make them puffy and look like real marshmallows. Now that I look at it though, Riley looks a little lonely there on his little rock.

Speaking of marshmallows.....have ya ever been camping/cottaging and the weather takes a turn for the worst and ya just had a humongous craving for roasted marshmallows? Well 2 summers ago, my kids, Jade and Joel, came with me up to Kingston to visit Vicki and her son Jonathon. We went to a cottage for a week at a beautiful little place called Bob's Lake.

One day it was raining (actually it rained a few days), and we wanted some marshmallows.....so what did we do....NO we didn't light the cabin on fire.... we used the stove in the cabin!!

Now don't those look yummy!!!

June 2009 Riley Calendar

Today's post is another installment from my 2009 Riley Calendar...but the cool thing is Joel coloured this Riley!

It was bitterly cold here today so I am hoping it gets warm enough for swimming soon! I know I live in my own little world!! It's only January....we have at least 2.5 more months of cold crappy weather ahead of us.
On a very sad note, an old neighbour of ours lost their 18 year old daughter to cancer yesterday. It just breaks my heart to even imagine what they must be going through. We only scratched the surface of those emotions when Joel was in the hospital, but thankfully we were able to get him well and get him home. My heart goes out to them, so please take a moment today and hug the ones ya love and cherish the time you have with them.

All Good Things Must Come to an End and April 2009 Riley Calendar

Wow!! What a fun weekend I had. I love to stamp....that is a given. But better than stamping is stamping with friends. I love the way you can get together with your stamping friends and visit, and laugh, and be goofy, and sometimes cry, but the greatest part is you can get together and even when none of you are talking and you are just stamping away, there is no "awkward silence". Everyone is just comfortable knowing that each and everyone is content doing what they are doing and there are not pressures for someone to keep the conversation going. It is great to have friends who you can just be together with and not have to "find" things to say or do.

THAT my cyber friends, is what this weekend was like for me.

I had the pleasure of having a number of my stamping friends over this weekend to stamp.

My BFF Vicki came from Kingston, my BFF2 Kristi came from Detroit, my dear friends Kim and Heather came from London and when my sweet friend Tami got back to town from her prior engagement she came over too!!

So don't get me wrong....there was lots of talking.....lots of laughing.....a little bit of crying due to laughing.....some giggling (but we are blaming that on the Massi (foot medicine)), and there were some silent periods too. It is so nice to be with your friends and be comfortable enough not to have to do or say anything. I must say though....there was a little bit of complaining about the music....sorry Lionel....it wasn't my fault!

Vicki and I are lucky, lucky, lucky, to have great kids, that get along well together, so I think (they can correct me if I am wrong) they had a fun weekend as well. A few Shirley Temples will help them get along!!!

I get so inspired when I stamp with my friends. Especially Vicki and Kristi. I learn a lot from Vicki. She is totally my mentor, my "idol" as my daughter says but most of all my very best friend in the whole entire universe.....I was teasing her that I keep a little note pad to jot down things she says so I remember for future reference...she thinks I was kidding...... NOT!!

I got a sneak peek at the new releases for Hanna Stamps this week!!! Oh my gosh..they are soooo much fun! My lips are sealed though, so don't even try to break me. You will have to keep checking the design team's blogs for their sneak peeks of the new sets coming out! (mental note to self......have Kristi over at least once a month prior to release dates!!!!! lol)

The fun came to an end this morning around 11:00 AM when the vehicles pulled out headed for home. We are hoping Mother Nature holds off on the freezing rain until they are all safe at home.

For all of you who were jealous that I got to stamp with Vicki and Kristi this weekend.....I'm sorry... but I am just so blessed to have them both in my life and love them both to pieces and so thankful they could both come and spend some time with me.....you'll just have to deal with it!!!!!! lol

Anyhow, my April design for my 2009 Riley Calendar is below!

The base is Tempting Turquoise and the designer paper is from SU's Bali Breeze collection. I stamped the fence from the springtime Hanna set and stamped Riley and coloured them with the Copics and adhered them to the page. I would have fun flocked the little chick...but didn't have any until yesterday....so will be revisiting this little chick in the near future!!!!

I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing Sunday.

Spring with Riley March 2009 Calendar

With any luck we might get to do some planting in March! Riley likes to plant things with his tractor!!!

Here is the design I came up with for March.

This is a very quick post because......drum roll........I am awaiting the arrival of the one and only Kristi Ferro (Ms. Hanna Stamps herself!) to arrive at my house!!!!

My BFF Vicki is already here!!! As well as my dear friends Kim and Heather!!
So I hope you enjoy seeing Riley putt-putting around on his tractor!!! (and don't tell my dad.. but I coloured the tractor green.....it really should be blue...he is a Ford man!!)

Love and Chocolate!! Riley Calendar February 2009

There is nothing better than sitting on your couch, love seat, patio chair, whatever your seating pleasure, and having some bon bons!! My friend Rob and I joke all the time at work that when we win the lottery we are just gonna sit at home and eat bon bons all day!

So this Riley was the perfect choice for February's calendar!! I love the way he is just sprawled out on his little couch having some treats from him sweet!!
And his tummy is so full his eyes are even closed. He is probably sucking on one of the candies and having it melt in his mouth!!!
The base colour is Pretty in Pink and the designer paper is from SU, but I'm not certain what collection. Riley was stamped and coloured with the Copics and then cut out and adhered to the sheet. Some grosgrain ribbon is tied around the center of the page.

I hope all of you got home safe and sound from any festivities you may have attended last night.
You will all be happy to know my vacuum cleaner and I had a wonderful evening....I didn't stoop so low as to kiss it at midnight...but yes...it's true....it was New Years Eve last night and I was vacuuming my house.... Stop the excitement!!!!!!!
