Jukebox Hero

Yesterday was a good day!!!! Jade and I went on another road trip together!!!!

We usually have lots of laughs and lots of fun and yesterday was no different. We headed out around noon or so. We decided to park at the Eaton Centre as we would have a few hours to kill before we needed to be at the theatre. It was an 8 PM show. The traffic was pretty good on the way there and Jade new where she was going which helped! When I go to Toronto, I am usually on a coach bus and I could honestly not care how I got there as long as I do!!!! Once we got parked we headed into the mall. We stopped to have an afternoon snack an an ice cream shop called Sweet Jesus. Here are our treats!!! It's soft serve underneath and then they do whatever "recipe" you chose. Jade chose birthday cake, so it was a vanilla soft serve and then some sauces and then birthday cake and sprinkles on top. Mine was brownie, so it was chocolate soft serve - then the chocolate sauce that gets hard when it goes on cold ice cream then brownie bits and I think those were cookie crumble on top!! It was super good!
Check out some other ones you can get - that pink and blue one is cotton candy!!!
We strolled around the mall for a while then decided on Jack Astor's for supper. They were a little slow in getting to us so they gave us our garlic pan bread for free! The food was good!!!

We saw some very strange people in Toronto. I know it takes all kinds to make this big ole world go around but man oh man.......you could NOT pay me to live in Toronto...nope...no you couldn't.

We headed on down to the theatre to see Jukebox Hero! It's a musical set to the music of Foreigner!

The show was GREAT!!!! They were doing some fundraising for the Shiners as well! If you bought a CD for $20 (which I did of course) you got a ticket for a chance to win a guitar signed by Mick Jones and Lou Gramm from Foreigner!!! I didn't win - well I didn't win the guitar but I won by seeing the awesome production and spending the day with my girl Jade.

And the cool part......at the end when we were giving a standing ovation......the lead of the play said "this all would not be possible if it weren't for these two guys"....Mick Jones and Lou Gramm.....AND THEY CAME ON STAGE - they were sitting in the audience watching the show!!!!!! They look a little different than they used to!!!! But don't we all!!!!

Do you remember your very first date?

Do you remember the very first date you had with your hunny?

Well mine was 28 years ago today. We have always recognized this date and remembered this date,  because without this date, we wouldn't have all the other AMAZING dates together.

Like August 15th when these two crazy cats got hitched!

Or the 8th of April, the date our beautiful girl Jade was born.
The 8th of January, the date our beautiful boy Joel was born.

The dates both our kids graduated from Grade 8, then the dates they both graduated from high school, and the dates they both PROUDLY graduated from College.

There have been many sad dates as well. Like the dates we lost both of Joe's parents. It still makes me sad that my kids did not have a relationship with their Lines Grandparents. The loss of Granny and Poppa were big dates in our lives. These two were IT.

The day these two got married was another big date for me. Changed my life in a big way.

The date this furry friend came into my life. She is the funniest dog around. She's a big ole cuddle bug and we just love her so much.
The date when the boys won WOSSA
The date when this guy tried a new sport and did awesome at it!

The time this guy got a tattoo....in spite of Mum saying "he'll never get a tattoo"!
The date my little baby sister got married!!!! And all three of us were together!

Basically ANY date with these two!!!
The date Jade decided to participate in a "run" and we just showed up with signs!!!!
The date Grandman and I "attempted" to sneak into Jade's apartment and decorate it for Christmas

Any date watching this kid bust his butt on the volleyball court!
Road trips with Jeff! Those are great dates!!

Any dates watching this bunch of guys play volleyball! I miss those dates.

Any date spent with this chick!!!!! I love her sooo much and wish she lived closer. Although, recent trips have determined it's only a 3-day drive!!!!!
The date these two got hitched! So much love (and putting up with crazy!!!!)

The date this guy was born!!!!! He has brought so much love and laughter to our family!

ANY DATE I spend with these two stinkers!!! I love them beyond words and can't wait to see what they do in the years to come.

The date this guy went on a road trip by himself to visit some family!

Any dates spent with my TRIBE! I love these ladies so much. The adventures we have had, lots of laughs and tears too.

Any crafty dates are always special!

Our first vacation together!!!! A bus trip to Nashville!

And any dates at all that I spend with these loves!

What dates do you remember????
