Day 5 - Grand Canyon Day!!!!!!!

This morning was good - we woke up to sunshine!!!!! What a treat!

The last few days we have had rain so it was nice to have a dry day for a change.

We came upon a casino on our travels so we thought we would pop in with our $20 and see if we could win some money.

We both sat down and put our $20 in....played for a bit - was up and down but then it ended up all in the machine. We tried another one and ended up with $50 - so we both walked out with $25!!

It was fun - but you can smoke in the casino's so a short time was long enough.

Then headed off to the Grand Canyon.

We saw some more elk and deer along the way as well.

It was quite windy today

Stopped for the night in Flagstaff. We thought about driving on and getting to Diana's tonight but I would rather get there during the day then in the dark.

so we are in a Howard Johnson hotel on Route 66!!! Yay - I can say we were on route 66!!
