Day 2 - Week in Stouffville

Today was a fun day!!!!!
I got to take Daphne to her first music lesson. I was hoping I was not a complete failure at it considering I cannot play any instrument and cannot read a note of music!
The class starts at 1030 and I wasn't 100% sure of where I was going so left around 1013 to make sure we got there on time. I read the "instructions" before we left ...and to be honest Ms. Matthieson sounded like a bit of a hard ass in her list of rules - so I wanted to make sure we were there on time and followed the instructions!!
When we got there Ms. Matthieson met us at the door and we took off our shoes and went down stairs. Daphne's first decision was she had to choose which animal she wanted to be. She chose the dog. So the teacher put a dog sticker on her book so we would remember each week that she is the dog. Then we sat on the floor on our little red mat. We sang the welcome song. Then we got our very own castanets!!!!  We also got a bag to carry all our
supplies in and a book with instructions and a work book.

We sang a few songs and then when we got to play at the piano - we realized why we had to pick an animal. Daphne had picked dog, so we went to the piano with the dog on it. We played two black notes which they referred to as a dinosaur den and we played and sang in piano - which means soft. (I think I might have to take this class to learn this stuff too!)
Ms. Matthieson was great and we had a fun time. There are two other kids in the class with their "music helpers". I think Daphne is really going to enjoy it...and it will be helpful with having Courtney as a helper instead of a non-musical me!!!!

When we came home these two were having a little sleep.

Lucy has been pretty congested - I thought it might have just been teeth - but we are at the crusty, snorty, green booger stage - so I think it's a cold! We are managing though. She ended up coming into bed with me tonight because when she was laying down she just got so stuffed up. We propped up a bit and slept a bit better with a bit of an upward angle. She's still happy as anything, in spite of her boogers!!!

And she is soooo stinkin' cute!

I love the way she amuses herself and just plays so quietly on her own.

It was tub time tonight so we got everyone all scrubbed up and nice and clean.

Then we all cuddled on the couch and watched Follow That Bird!!!!!
It was just a good as I remember!!!!
And I remembered the words to all the songs!!! hahaha

Chow for now,
Jacqui
