Happy Halloween and the closing of a chapter....

Well, today is Halloween. It has been so long since I have dressed up. I think the last time I dressed up I wore my pajamas to work!! I don't think I was anyone in particular - but hey, how many times in your life do you get to wear flannel pajamas and fuzzy slippers to work...and get away with it! I think every Friday should be pajama day...or maybe every Monday and then you wouldn't have to get up so early...just roll right out of bed into the car and into work! My kids are pretty much out of the dressing up phase. I thought they might dress up for school - NMDHS staff and students are pretty "into" stuff like that. I was surprised last year by the number of teachers who actually dressed up. It's nice to see them involved like that. We had a busy weekend so maybe if we hadn't of been, they would have come up with something for today..who knows. If you decide to go out trick-or-treating tonight - be safe and have fun! I love some of the designs and pictures people have been putting on pumpkins in the last decade. I remember scooping out the mush with Granny and Poppa and then baking the seeds to eat (I just make a stop at the Bulk Barn for pumpkin seeds now.....). Then we would make a face - but it was just your basic triangle eyes, triangle nose and funky mouth; nothing like some of these fancy pumpkins you see around now. Like Edward and Bella
And this cute little kitty cat.
And the cute kitty when he's all grown up!
And a personal favourite..... E.T.
Man oh man I wish I could carve a pumpkin to look like this!

Today also marks the closing of a chapter for me. Today is the last day that I will be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I was unable to fulfill this month's requirements, so today I am finished. I truly do love Stampin' Up!'s products. They are of the finest quality and I will continue to buy their paper and stamps through other demonstrators. I have met some of the nicest people through Stampin' Up! Not only did I get a chance to meet and talk with Shelli Gardner - the founder of Stampin' Up! a couple of times, I met my BFF and some of my closest friends, through little pieces of wood and rubber! I don't think I will ever stop stamping and creating. I find it therapeutic and I like to make cards and things for people. I am looking forward to a new chapter in the paper crafting world...I'll fill you in on that at a later date. So for now, I say farewell as a demonstrator and thank you to everyone who had workshops and attended my classes. (fyi..the classes are not over!)
Have a safe and Happy Halloween
