Bumps and bruises....

The kids have been asking to go public skating, so last week we went down to the Civic Arena for public skating. I strapped on the skates and started heading around the rink. My left skate was sliding all over the place....not sharp..crap.
So Jade wanted to go skating again today. So I headed out to Pete's Sports to get my skates sharpened. They put a nice sharp edge on them. Off to the arena we went!
I strapped on the skates again and started around the rink. I think I made 3 circles and then some pick got stuck somewhere.....the feet started slipping...the ground started getting closer....and down I went.....I didn't even have enough time to yell "I'm goin' down!". I landed on my knee, and then on my hip.....all the while thinking...good God I'm too young for a hip replacement!!! So off came the skates and I just watched the kids for the remainder of the time. I don't know where the ability to skate went to....I thought it was like riding a bike. You just strapped your skates back on and away you go. Maybe dislocating my knee 4 years ago has turned me into a wimp. I might give it another go next time......we'll see.

This is another one of the cards that I made for our card making day last weekend. I used the same layout as I did for the card here.
I like using the same layout and making completely different cards. It shows how versatile everything is.
Chow for now,
