Rocket Man!
I was watching Ellen yesterday and one of the prizes she gave away was two tickets to go with her and Porsche to Elton John's Oscar party. Since he sang the song Rocket Man, I thought oh I will post that card today! The places where I get some of my ideas and inspiration.....can be from weird places!!!
So I still have a bunch of cards to show you that I have cased to put on my display board for my fundraising event this weekend. My inspiration for this card was from SplitcoastStampers. It was made by tankgrl and you can see her card here.
This one is my version.
The base card stock is Kraft which I inked up using the direct to paper technique using Sahara Sand ink. I then used Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Baja Breeze ink and stamped all over the Kraft card stock. The complementary colours are Always Artichoke and Baja Breeze. Vanilla card stock was used for the piece that was stamped. Baja Breeze ink was sponged around the outside of the paper. Gingham ribbon was tied around the piece layered with Manchester designer paper. The word "dad" was stamped using Big Deal Alphabet and then cut out. The stars were punched with the small and large star punches.
The one in the top left hand corner was attached with a brad. This was a fun card to make. Thanks for the inspiration tankgrl!
Chow for now,
Jacqui
