Pants or no Pants!!

Did you see?? Did you see?? I have a follower!!!! I checked my blog at work yesterday to make sure my timed post came through and sure enough it was there, so I'm confident now I have that part figured out. I put on the follower gadget, widget, gizmo, gremlin....whatever the heck the thing is called, and low and behold, there was a follower this morning!!! I refreshed the page to make sure I wasn't seeing things!!! So now that I have a follower, does that make me a leader?? Kind of like Star Trek.......take me to your leader!!!! Do I have to come up with a secret handshake!!! You can be sure it will be an inky hand if you are shaking mine!!!!

I have had so much fun working on all my sneak peeks for the Hanna Stamps Release Party that was last night. I would love to be able to do this every month!!! What a dream come true that would be! I fell asleep on the couch....so I was not much of a release PAR-TAY girl last night, but I am sure the girls that were there had a great time and shared AMAZING samples. The talent within these women is indescribable. I love to look at all the different samples and see all the different perspectives everyone sees when they look at a stamp or when they colour one. Some that come off the top of my head are the pregnant Bella stamp. When I look at samples that people have made with that stamp, some people have coloured her so that it is her arm resting on her belly, and therefore coloured her t-shirt right down to her waist, others, have made it look like (what I consider to be her arm) is the bottom of her t-shirt, so they colour the remainder of her body pinkish to look like a belly. Another stamp like this is the Bowling Hanna. When I see her, I see the little dimples in her knees and her socks, so she must not have tights on....but then bending over to send that bowling ball flying down the alley is gonna be a little interesting for those sitting behind her.....and then I look at samples that others have done and they have coloured her to appear as though she is wearing tights. These girls must have gone bowling in a miniskirt before and know what Bowling Hanna is going through!!! Just kidding!!!

So this is my segue into my Pants or no Pants comment!!! Diana hinted at it when she commented on Adela's card yesterday. She commented that Adela had put clothes on Riley!! Well when I look at GI Jon Riley I see his little camo vest as clothes, but I don't see any pants, so I coloured his legs brown, or moosey I guess would be the colour!! But then when I was talking to Vicki one day she said she was making Riley pantless too, and when I took a second look it does look like he is not wearing any pants!! Maybe that will start another "age old question". Similar to " Does a bear shit in the woods?", maybe the new question will be "Does a moose wear pants?"

My sample for today is a simple one, but I liked the way it turned out. I used Garden Green card stock from Stampin' Up! for the base colour and found a piece of camouflage paper in a book of designer paper I have had for ages. I cut a strip off Garden Green and cuttlebugged it with the striped embossing folder. I punched a small oval out of the camouflage paper to make it look like he is standing on something. (It's important to make sure your images are grounded!!! Thanks Vicki!) Then I punched two "dog" tags out with the Stampin' Up! punch, put an eyelet in the end and threaded through some ball chain. If I did another one, I may try punching the dog tags out of silver to make them look more real. Hhmm.. dog tags.....makes me think of U.S. Marines....remind me to tell you my U.S. Marine story some day!!!!!!!
