Patch.....Rest in Peace
It is with a heavy heavy heart that I make this post today. My beautiful cat Patch passed away this morning at the vet's office. We took him there yesterday because he was getting very sluggish and was moving really really slow. When we took him in, the vet felt his belly and immediately determined that he had a blockage because his bladder was very distended.
He said he would have to be kept at the office while they catheterized him and hopefully he would bounce back. The vet was very upfront about the whole situation and said that the anesthesia may be too much for him to handle. I guess that was the case.
I am going to miss him alot. He had a great personality and was the best cuddler.
We brought him home and buried him in the back yard. The kids put some toys that he liked to play with in the box with him. We are going to get a nice little stone and a remembrance ornament to place over his grave.

I am so sorry Jacqui, he was such a funny cat too.
I still have that picture of him sitting like a person on my phone.
I am glad I got to snuggle and sleep with him a bit while I was at home.
Love and hugs to everyone, and give extra love to Shadow, she lost her brother, and will have a broken heart too.

I am so sorry for your loss. People who do not have pets do not understand that they are not just a cat or a dog! They are our furbaby and every much a child as our human children. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Our family lost our beloved Hershey in Nov. of 2004. I find pictures of him and still sob for him! Just know that I will be praying for you and your children as you deal with this loss.
Hugs,
Lynn
Oh Jacqui ... my heart goes out to you, your family and your other pets. Hoping you have happy memories and lots of hugs to you all.
Jax, I am so sorry for your loss. Patch was such a sweet Kitty and I am sure that you all will miss her very much, especially Shadow
Hugs and Love,
Vicki
So sorry Jacqui for your sad news. My heart and goes out to you. Our little guys share their hearts and souls with us while they are here and sadly quite often their time with is is way too short. Memories of good times help but it's okay to grieve the loss of a dear family member however works best for you and the rest of the family.
Sharing your tears - Jean
Jacqui, I'm so sorry to hear about Patch. I know how you're feeling and my heart goes out to you.

Oh Jacqui, I'm so sorry. I didn't know when I saw you on Friday evening. If I did, I probably would have started crying. It won't be the same without Patch hanging around (and on!) the stamping tables.
Hugs.
