"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always got." Mark Twain.

Well here it is. If you read my earlier post, I still needed to design a scrapbook page for the class I have on the 1st of April. I'll admit it, designing scrapbook pages is not as easy task for me. I love to do it, but I always see other pages that people have done and mine always seem so blah. I get inspired by scrapping with Vicki Garrett (which will be happening in 26 more sleeps!!). So anyway, this is what I came up with. I wanted to make something with a coloured 12 X 12 sheet instead of working on white (my supply of 12 X 12 cardstock usually dictates what projects I make!). So I picked Blue Bayou as my base colour. I managed to get 5 or 6 packages of rub-ons from Sale-a-bration so I thought I would use some of those as well.So I put the funky little curly flowery thing in the top corner. Then I cut a strip of Blue Bayou designer paper and put it across the bottom with a strip of blue ribbon across that seam. Then I used the friend rub-on just above that and put a smaller flower in the center of the strip of Blue Bayou designer paper. Using my Coluzzle I cut out the ovals from Bashful Blue and Blue Bayou cardstock and layered them and put them on the page. Simple, but I like the look.
Now the story of the cute little kitty in the pictures!!! My son Joel has a best friend named Dylan. I swear to God the two of them must have been separated at birth. They refer to themselves as "brothers from another mother". They are like two peas in a pod; skinny like a twig and hooked on video games and they "get" each others wacked out sense of humor. Anyhow, Dylan got a new little kitty a week before he was to participate in a weekend hockey tournament. Not wanting to leave the little cutie at home alone with their older grumpy cat, they asked if we would watch her for the weekend. We have 2 cats of our own, so we did a trial run, as we did not want our cats to hurt the poor little stinker. The trial run went pretty good. Our male cat Patch thought Smoky was pretty cool, our female Shadow on the other hand, was NOT impressed. She didn't do anything to her except make some funky cat noises! So it was all set - we could watch the kitty. So Dylan brought her over on a Thursday evening and she stayed with us until the Sunday.Smoky slept on my pillow the whole time she was here! She is just so cute. She slept alot so we took advantage of that and snapped up a bunch of pictures! So anyway - that' s the Smoky story!!
Chow for now
